Salt Lake Cooling Repair is a technician matching service. We connect homeowners with independent, licensed air conditioning and HVAC technicians ("Partner Technicians") in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area and across Utah.
We do not provide HVAC services directly. We do not employ technicians, own service vehicles, or perform any cooling repair, installation, or maintenance work. All AC and HVAC services are performed by independent Partner Technicians who are solely responsible for the quality, safety, and warranty of their work.
2. No Guarantee of Service Outcomes
While we vet our Partner Technicians for licensing, insurance, EPA certification, and background checks, we do not guarantee:
- The availability of a technician at any specific time
- The quality or outcome of any repair, installation, or maintenance performed
- The accuracy of any estimate or pricing provided by a Partner Technician
- That any specific technician will be assigned to your request
Our role is limited to matching you with a qualified technician. All service agreements, warranties, and disputes are between you and the Partner Technician.
3. Partner Technician Qualifications
We require Partner Technicians in our network to:
- Hold an active Utah HVAC contractor license
- Maintain EPA Section 608 certification for refrigerant handling
- Carry active general liability insurance
- Pass a background check
- Maintain a minimum 4.8-star average customer rating
However, we rely on information provided by the technicians and third-party verification services. We do not independently verify every claim and cannot guarantee the accuracy of all credentials at all times.
4. Pricing and Payments
Salt Lake Cooling Repair does not charge consumers for using our matching service. We receive a referral fee from Partner Technicians.
All pricing for HVAC services is determined by the Partner Technician. We do not set, control, or guarantee any pricing. Estimates provided on our Site (e.g., typical repair costs $150 to $600) are general market ranges for informational purposes only and are not binding quotes.
You are responsible for reviewing and approving all pricing directly with your assigned Partner Technician before any work begins.
5. Communications Consent
By submitting a form on our Site or calling our phone number, you consent to:
- Receiving phone calls and text messages from Salt Lake Cooling Repair and our Partner Technicians at the phone number you provided
- Receiving automated text messages regarding your service request, including confirmation, follow-up, and appointment reminders
- Having your phone calls recorded for quality assurance purposes (a notification will play at the beginning of recorded calls)
You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. You may opt out of call recording by ending the call. Consent to communications is not a condition of service.
6. User Responsibilities
When using our Site, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information in all forms and communications
- Be at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a parent or guardian
- Not submit false, misleading, or fraudulent service requests
- Not use our Site for any unlawful purpose
7. Intellectual Property

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of our Site shall not exceed the amount you paid to us (which is $0, as our consumer-facing service is free).
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Salt Lake Cooling Repair, its owners, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of our Site or your violation of these Terms.
10. Dispute Resolution
